It doesn't matter how physically fit you are. It doesn't matter how old you are. This program is about getting you, your family, your friends, your neighbors--everyone you care about---up and moving. If you are ready to make the commitment to wellness and becoming more physically active, 10/10 in The Park is for you!
Date: Beginning Saturday, April 2, and every Saturday thereafter (weather permitting)
Arrive early to walk, jog or run around beautiful Centennial Lake. Walkers start by 7am. Joggers & runners by 7:15am. Consider your walk, jog or run at 9am after 10/10 in The Park.
Time: 7:00am - Free registration opens (register by 7:45am)
7:45am - Orientation & Meet the trainers
7:55am - Warm-up
8:00am - Exercise begins (modified to meet the needs of all levels of fitness)
8:55am - Cool down and stretch
Location: Centennial Park (108 Entrance) follow the Get Active Howard County signs once you enter the park.
What to bring: towel and/or exercise mat, water bottle
Be there on April 2nd! The first training features five professional trainers sharing expertise and enthusiasm in a station by station format. Teams rotate through the stations learning new exercises, having fun and improving their fitness and form. Every exercise and activity can be modified for those that prefer a slower paced workout. These trainers will also be ready to kick it up a notch for participants who are up to the challenge.
Please read and sign the Terms of Agreement and Official Release and bring a copy with you to the park
